Hello Friends of Root!
This week, I will be busy preparing for my talk at the Andes Roundtable on Wednesday, June 8th. It is an overview of the natural history and biology of parasitism as exemplified by local parasitic wasps, and the role that these wasps play in the ecology of the Catskills. I will also discuss the importance of these wasps in the biocontrol of various pests of interest to Catskills area residents. The title of my talk is “Bugs Inside Bugs: Parasitic Wasps of the Catskills”.
Location: Hunting Tavern 288 Main St, Andes NY, at 7 PM. If you are in the Andes area, come check it out!
Thanks everyone,
Melissa
